Take a walk on the Wild side . . .
Aloe Cottage
Aloe Cottage is located on a small peninsula directly between the two main beaches at Hole in the Wall.
Panoramic Wild Coast views surround the living room and patio entertainment area.
This old beach cottage was built in 1945, and has been renovated & expanded to meet your requirements & home from home comforts.
TV with full DStv channels as well as a CD music system are provided, and a braai and portable Weber BBQ facility are located on the patio overlooking "Mens" beach. (No prizes for guessing what the other beach is called.)
3 Bedrooms comfortably sleep a total of 8 adults and children in two bedrooms with double-beds, and "the dorm" which has two double-bunks. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, while the other rooms share a bathroom. The futon can be used to sleep extras, but extra charges may apply.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering and has a gas stove, electric fryer, microwave, fridge, and other essentials. The separate pantry has a large upright fridge & upright deepfreezer. There are two dining areas, or the tables can be located together to seat 8 to 10 people.
Our trained staff service the house daily. Fishing gillies can also be arranged by prior notice.
This is a great family holiday destination and will provide an unsurpassed Wild Coast holiday experience.
Sleeps a maximum of 8 guests & is fully equipped for self catering with all linen, bedding, bath towels, crockery & cutlery provided.
Pro Tips
Do NOT use the directions on Google Maps, as that route has not been maintained since 2012 and the section just before they say "Sharp right" is impassable for small vehicles and trailers. Rather proceed to, and through, Coffee Bay to Hole in the Wall, or turn-off the tar road at Ngcwanguba.
Security:
Hole in the Wall is very safe. Probably the safest village on the Wild Coast, as there are security patrols active day and night.
Unfortunately, unemployment is a major problem. So please do not be put off by youths who will want to "guide" you to the Hole in the Wall. Simply, and firmly, say "No thank you".
The youths will also crowd around your vehicle at the parking site - clamouring to "guard your car". It is advisable to select one at random and offer to pay R5 per hour.
