One of our comfortable guest roomsGeckos Guest House is situated in Coffee Bay on the scenic, rugged and unspoiled “Wild Coast” on the eastern seaboard of South Africa. We provide private, clean, comfortable accommodation in double en-suite rooms at very affordable rates with friendly and personal service. A full breakfast is included in your daily rate. Evening meals can be provided on request, or you may choose to eat out at one of the restaurants in the area. A self catering option is also available.

Guest rooms are situated overlooking a lush sub-tropical garden with enough bird life around to satisfy the most avid bird watcher.

A short walk from the guest house will take you to the beautiful beaches, or to breathtaking views of the ocean and bays from the hilltops surrounding the village, where you may be the only one around to be at peace with yourself and nature.

Hikers can enjoy a variety of pathways traversing either beach or natural forest or cliff tops overlooking the Indian Ocean, where one may spot dolphins or whales on their daily journeys. Local guides are available for hire to show the best routes and advise on local customs.

The famous “Hole-in-the-Wall” is a short drive away, or a few hours hike for the more energetic, but well worth the visit to view this natural rock phenomenon.

Bathers, surfers or sun worshippers will appreciate the sandy beaches and waves where there is safe bathing and surfing; and for those who enjoy surf fishing – you won’t be disappointed.

Cwili River Mouth: 3 minute walk awayFern Cottage is situated 320 metres from the beach (you can hear the sea when lying in bed at night) and is ideal for couples.

It is a quiet area of Kei Mouth overlooking the golf course with a private braai area looking out into the lush Eastern Cape Bushveld.

Whilst sitting on the deck, feet up, watching the sun set, gin and tonic in hand, aaaah! What could be better? The coals on the braai should be just about ready for those scrumptious steaks that you brought with you. Prawns and calamari are for another night, maybe with some good friends who will bring along the wine. There is nothing better than sitting on the deck, on a perfect evening, not a breath of wind, spending quality time with one another and or your family and friends. After a good meal, good conversation, gently work your way to bed for an early evening...or late! These are times that you will always cherish.

Waking up is another experience. It gets light early and somehow you just can't stay in bed. The sunrise is so beautiful with the birds singing and the Hornbills
watching your every move. The view takes your breath away, making you realize that Morgan Bay is a truly special place to be. Mmmmmmm, smell the bacon sizzling under the grill, with your eggs waiting to be cracked open and gently eased into the pan. "Will that be one egg or two this morning love?" I am sure all of the above rings a bell and is a pleasant reminder of what holidays are all about.

All bedding is supplied, with towels.
There is a satellite tv in the main bedroom, which allows you to watch your favourite programs. Please bring your decoder and DSTV card. The main bedroom has a lounge/reading area, giving you a choice of staying in bed or relaxing in the chill-out area. In both bedrooms, you get the same view as if you were standing on the deck - absolutely awesome view!

Answer: Yes, there is an alarm system and trellidoors throughout. Occassionaly, the odd intruder is the opportunist monkey! So don't leave your fruit too close to the windows! oops they love bread.

Answer: No, the house is all yours and only let to you and your family.

Answer: Yes for the bath/shower, but not beach towels.

iKhamanga cultural village is run by the local Xhosa community of Qolora Mouth. Guests sleep in several large communal rondavels (traditional mud and thatch houses) that can accommodate up to 40 people. Smaller rondavels are available for teachers or group leaders. All meals are provided by the local community who cook traditional food in large cast iron potjie pots. Visitors can learn all about Xhosa culture and join in with the locals in song and dance.
