All progressing well

Ncinci One's Montessori was very blessed in early October when Christine Wilkinson from Cape Town came to paint our school.  She has made our school look like a real pre-school and we are very thankful for Christine's efforts!  The children absolutely love the pictures and have learnt the names of all the animals already. Thank you very much Christine.

A big thank you also to the Auburn House Trust, Sally, Jen, Xoliswa and the ladies who attend their material making workshops.  They made us beautiful domestic animals, wild animals, fruit and vegetable cards. The children work with these activities daily and their vocabularies are booming, both in isiXhosa and in English :-)  Thank you very much for enriching our learning environment.

A number of the children are in their sensitive period for language at the moment, so there is much "I Spy" and sandpaper sounds going on in the environment.  It is also so great to observe the children doing extensions with the materials - it really warms my heart and I feel Maria Montessori is smiling down on the Ncinci One's.

Our garden has started to bloom, and we are eating our first small harvest of sugar beans tomorrow in our Ngusho.  We will be enjoying some spinach, tomatoes, onions and carrots during this month.  Good nutrition = healthy happy children.

Busy, happy days are on the cards for November.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Dawn and the Ncinci Ones at our Beautiful school :-)
