Morgan Bay Camping

On the banks of the Inchara Lagoon overlooking beach and sea, the Morgan Bay Park is bound by beach and lagoon. Each site is approximately 120 square meters with braai facilities. Electrical points are within 20m.

All the sites are within 120 meters of the ablution block which has hot and cold showers and a bath for the ladies, along with hairdryer points and washing up facilities.

The camp sites are within walking distance of the shop (one kilometer away), from which fresh bread is baked daily. The Hotel is half a kilometer away, where one can enjoy a meal either in the hotel or a fantastic pub meal over looking the sea. Children can also get cold drinks, ice creams as well as a few sweets.

Most sites have a view of the sea which is about 150m away. Fishing in the river can be rewarding and is a safe and popular playground for children who can wind surf and canoe. Water skiing can be arranged through the hotel. Further up the lagoon the birds are abundant, from Fish Eagles to Giant King Fisher.

    CAMPERS COVE - COFFEE BAY

    Has anyone camped at Campers Cove in Coffee Bay? I can't find any info about it. Is it safe? are there showers etc?

    As far as I know the original camp site is not really used much, so I can't vouch for safety. There are cold-water ablutions available, however.

    Despite it being one of the most gorgeous sites I've ever seen anywhere, I can't recommend it at this stage.

    I'd advise that you camp at Coffee Shack. Their site is also really beautiful, and there're always the greatest people there.

    Caravan Hire

    I saw your request to hire a caravan in the Morgans Bay area. I am thinking to do the same this coming July (2011) and would like to know if your were successful in sourcing a van last June? Your experience might just help me a great deal.
