Fern Cottage

Fern Cottage is a self-catering unit ideal for couples who require a safe and quiet getaway.

The cottage is situated in a tranquil area of Kei Mouth, just 320 m from the ocean. The cottage was fully renovated in August 2015, with aluminum windows all round, security, extended outside relaxation area and a brand new double bed for those quiet nights listening to the waves in the distance.

The unit comprises of one bedroom fitted with a double bed, all linen and a bathroom with a shower (gas geyser).

The rest of the cottage offers a comfortable lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen for your self-catering purposes and offers gas cooking. There is a private braai area overlooking the lovely bush-veld and safe and secure parking is provided for your peace of mind.

Wired for DStv, please bring own decoder and smart card. Free Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as excellent 3G reception. 

Guests will find the location ideal as a vacation site. Take walks on the beach which is suitable for swimming. The lagoon is also a great place for swimming, as well as fishing further upstream. There are various walks and trails to explore, and for the more energetic, try out surfing and horse riding.

Beach: Fern Cottage is 320m to the beach and a short walk to Kei River Mouth. Walk along the coastline towards the light-house, or take the Pont and walk over into Transkei where a day can be spent on the 'wild-side'.

Golf: 13 Hole Golf Course with Country Club and Restaurant on your doorstep. Stunning sea views, well maintained country course.

Romantic: Cottage ideal for a couple wanting a quiet romantic weekend away from city life. Lie in bed and listen to the waves breaking on the rocks in the distance. Lots of bird-life, monkeys and the occasional cow or bush buck wander through the gardens.
